How are they determining that farmers are catching this from the minks rather than the other way around? I couldn't translate the PDF posted elsewhere. It sounds like the disease is worse in minks, (increased mortality), but I saw no mention of serious illness in the farmers. Sounds like mink farmers will want to be very careful about getting their animals sick, just like zookeepers who work with big cats.
If anyone would want testing, it would be humans who work with susceptible species since humans can have very mild or no symptoms.

I think Russia and China are both net importers of food which means they can not feed their own people with their own overall food production unless, of course, they ration. I believe this includes animal proteins.

I am not sure what 'virulence management strategies' are but wild life sampling to understand the evolutionary dynamics of a microbial pathogen, in its native host species, is essential if we are not to be continually blind sided by zoonotic emergence, unfortunately it is time consuming and expensive.

therefore the best recommendation, to have a return to school (and not that), normal in September, is to impose a generalized summer camp operation, by large age group, to initiate a good collective immunity of the populations of young people , while controlling, the contamination of sensitive populations, at an acceptable rate for the medical structures in place.
Obviously, we are far from getting a glimpse of this, which means that the level of societal preparation (which includes policies), for this kind of agent, was zero: well done to the medical system ...
