The health secretary in the state, Antonio Jaimes Herrera said the mosquito that transmits dengue has become resistant to insecticides used to combat it, and this has led to their rapid reproduction.
When launching today a program to strengthen anti-mosquito fogging transmitter of dengue, adding that constantly has to be changing the insecticide because the Aedes mosquito aegytus has become resistant to it.
He noted that given the situation, the vector has been extended from 700 meters to 700 thousand meters for invasion, which means that the actions against them must be higher.
This day, the state Health Sector initiated a program to strengthen fogging an extraordinary investment of 700 thousand pesos next week in the North will be another investment of 900 thousand pesos.
He said that in each of the remaining regions will be an investment of 500 thousand dollars, but said that is not enough as the mosquito invasion has reached a very fast pace, which also has to do with the lack of cleanliness of the yards of homes .
Guerrero believed that requires an investment exceeding 60 million pesos to cope with evil, which means one hundred percent more than the resources currently available to health, to combat dengue.
Jaimes Herrera reported that until now it has 554 reports of two thousand cases of dengue, of which 673 are of the hemorrhagic type and at least one hundred people are hospitalized, receiving medical attention.
