GUADALAJARA, JALISCO .- After having announced that this year began with no cases of dengue in the state of Jalisco, the trend continued through the epidemiological weeks two and three, ranging from 10 to 23 January when it confirmed 41 infections new to the State Laboratory.
The head of epidemiology at the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SJS), Lucia Salazar Montes said that 33 cases were of classic type and eight of the hemorrhagic variant.
The distribution was as follows: Puerto Vallarta had 13, Cihuatl?n nine, La Huerta four Tomatl?n four, Casimiro Castillo two, Purification two, and one more in Jilotl?n.
The rest was reported in the Guadalajara metropolitan area, specifically in Zapopan, whose cases were in the colonies of Arroyo Hondo, Lomas de Atemajac, Zapopan Atemajac and Parks.
Reliance calls on individuals in those places to take appropriate security measures in their homes, such as trash removal and do not store water containers to prevent breeding of mosquito that transmits the virus.
Currently, the SSJ study 12 probable infections, which are located in the colonies of Arroyo Hondo, Balcones Quarry, Barrio Nuevo, Colinas de los Robles, Fraccionamiento Valdepe?as Forest, La Calma, Atemajac Lomas, Lomas del Batan, Prados de Zapopan , San Francisco, Housing Unit and Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Villas of Loma.

Jalisco reached 86 deaths due to human influenza, after the state Health Ministry confirmed the death of a woman.
It was a female 37-year-old resident of the municipality of Teocaltiche, who after starting with virus-related symptoms on 11 October, died Nov. 13 in a unit of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Jalisco.
Seasonal influenza deaths are kept at 16 throughout the State.
The unit also reported three new infections of the H1N1 virus, bringing the cumulative results in a total of four thousand 169 affected, whereas the seasonal variation is maintained in a thousand 210 cases.
