Connecticut: Covid-19 Cases - 53,365 cases; 4,468 deaths

COVID-19 Update March 29, 2020
As of March 29, 2020, a total of 1993 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported
among Connecticut residents (Table 1). Thirty-four residents have died (21 in Fairfield County, 6 in New
Haven County, 4 in Tolland County, 2 in Hartford County, and 1 in Middlesex County).
Four hundred and four patients are currently hospitalized. The increase in hospitalizations compared
to prior reports reflects a change to provide the most up to date information from the Connecticut
Hospital Association. Please note the distribution by county is based on where hospitals are located,
not where patients reside.

CT Coronavirus Updates: 578 New Cases, 36 Total Deaths
The number of coronavirus cases in Connecticut is now at 2,571 and 517 people are hospitalized throughout the state.

CONNECTICUT — Coronavirus cases in Connecticut on Monday ballooned by 578 to 2,571 and the number of deaths rose from 34 to 36. The number of people hospitalized also rose from 404 to 517 Monday.

The breakdown of cases by county are: Fairfield County with 1,445, New Haven County with 373, Hartford County with 330, Litchfield County with 113, Middlesex and Tolland counties with 50, New London County with 24, and Windham County with 10

Connecticut Coronavirus Cases Soar Above 3,000; 69 Deaths

Coronavirus cases in Connecticut rose by 557 on Tuesday, climbing to 3,128, according to Gov. Ned Lamont. He said 33 more people have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 69.

The large jump in deaths, up from 36 on Monday, was the result of a number of coronavirus-related deaths being reported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner over the past two weeks, but that had not been reported to the Department of Public Health.

As of April 10, 2020, a total of 10538 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported
among Connecticut residents (Figure 1). One thousand five hundred sixty-two patients are currently
hospitalized. There have been 448 COVID-19-associated deaths. Of 68 deaths newly included in today’s
report, 19 were persons who tested positive for COVID-19 and 49 were persons who died during March
30–April 8 without being tested for COVID-19 whose death certificate listed COVID-19 disease as a cause
of death or a significant condition contributing to death.

Day-to-day changes reflect newly reported cases, deaths, and tests that occurred over the last several
days to week. All data in this report are preliminary; data for previous dates will be updated as new
reports are received and data errors are corrected. Hospitalization data were collected by the
