The number of deaths from Covid-19 has increased to five while the infected are forty-five including thirty-two in Brazzaville and thirteen in Pointe-Noire, according to the epidemiology report dated April 4 by Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi, coordinator national technical response to the epidemic. In addition, the number of local transmission cases increased from eleven to twelve, eight of which were in the ocean city and four in the capital. “We specify that the last two deaths were recorded in private health facilities. In this regard, we ask those in charge of private health facilities to approach the national coordination of the response to better supervise our interventions ”,said Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi. In addition, the competent services are currently monitoring three hundred and nine contact persons, or thirty-five more. The number of people in quarantine sites remains unchanged at three hundred and fifty-seven.

From April 8 to 10, fifty-six subjects, including contact persons, were tested at the National Public Health Laboratory. Ten cases tested positive for Covid-19. The total number of infected in the Congo therefore rises to seventy, " explained the national technical coordinator of the response to the Covid-19, Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi, taking stock of the epidemiological situation of the pandemic on 11 April.
In Brazzaville, the distribution of the fifty-seven contaminated cases by arrondissement is as follows: Madibou (1 case), Mak?l?k?l? (1 case), Bacongo (5 cases), Poto-Poto (4 cases), Moungali (11 cases ), Ou?nz? (15 cases), Talanga? (7 cases), Mfilou (6 cases), Djiri (7 cases).
The contamination rate is not the same as in Pointe-Noire: Lumumba: (6 cases), Mongo-Poukou (3 cases), Ti?-Ti? (2 cases), Loandjili (1 case), Mvoumvou (1 case ) or thirteen cases in total. Out of all the cases, there are forty cases of local contamination and thirty imported cases.
All of the infected are under medical supervision and none of them has reached a severe level of the disease, according to Dr. Gilbert Ndziessi.
