In January this year, my country has reported the discovery of 8 human cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza.
Researcher Shu Yuelong, deputy director of the Institute of Viral Disease Control and Prevention of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and director of the National Influenza Center, speculated that sporadic cases of human avian influenza will continue to occur, and the possibility of a large-scale outbreak is unlikely.
Up to now, no substantial changes in the highly pathogenic avian influenza virus H5N1 have been observed worldwide, and the virus is still not easy to cause humans.

The currently known way of infecting humans with avian influenza virus is mainly from poultry-to-human transmission. Direct contact with sick and dead poultry is the most common risk factor. Eating non-intensively processed poultry products also has potential risks for employee health. The live poultry market is a possible risk factor for infection in urban cases. (Reporter Wang Junping)
