Cape Verde recorded 83 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin released today.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Social Security informs that these results are from the samples processed in the two laboratories, in Praia and S?o Vicente, on the 2nd.

Of the 318 samples examined, 83 new confirmed cases and 214 negative ones emerged, 21 of which were from patients in follow-up without changes.

In a statement, that Ministry informed that, in the last 24 hours, the country's laboratories analyzed 372 samples, which resulted in 36 positive cases, on the islands of Santiago (28) and Sal (8).

On the island of Santiago, the cases were distributed by the municipalities of Praia (23), Santa Catarina (1), Santa Cruz (3) and S?o Miguel (1).

The same source added that the country started to count 1,100 recovered cases, 37 more than the previous day, in Praia (18), Santa Catarina (11) Santa Cruz (2) and Sal (6).

The Ministry of Health announced today that 45 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in the country.

Of the total number of cases, Praia registered 27 new infections, Santa Catarina two, Santa Cruz six, one in S?o Domingos and also in Ribeira Grande de Santiago and S?o Louren?o dos ?rg?os, and seven in Sal.

In all, 263 samples were analyzed, adds the Ministry of Health in today's Epidemiological Bulletin.

With these new cases, Cape Verde starts to register 2,418 accumulated positive cases and 1694 recovered. Today, Cape Verde registered 33 more positive cases of COVID-19 and 68 recovered, as stated by the National Director of Health, Artur Correia, at the daily press conference on COVID-19 in the country.

Of the 33 new positive cases, Praia has 21, Ribeira Grande de Santiago one, Santa Cruz two, S?o Domingos two and Sal seven, most of which were collected last week, which were awaiting analysis.

Today 68 people were discharged: 25 in Praia, four in Santa Catarina, one in Santa Cruz and 38 in Sal. With this data, the country now counts a total of 2451 accumulated positive cases of COVID-19, 1824 recovered and 23 deaths .

Artur Correia also said that today ten suspected cases were detected, two in Ribeira Grande de Santiago, three in Santa Catarina, three in Santa Cruz and two on Sal island.

Regarding patients in hospital isolation, he said, there are 16 patients, including a suspected case. “Of these 16 patients, seven are at Hospital Santa Rita Vieira in Santa Catarina de Santiago, all are stable. At Hospital Agostinho Neto we have eight, three of which inspire extra care, and at Hospital Ramiro Figueira we only have one suspect case ”.

Artur Correia explained that in the rapid tests performed today, ten positives were registered, one in Praia, two in Santa Catarina, one in S?o Miguel, four in Santa Cruz, one in S?o Domingos and one in Boa Vista.

"In cumulative terms, until now we have performed 41,203 rapid tests, the vast majority of which are the result of the activity of confirming the investigation and clarifying the investigation of epidemiological surveillance, namely at the port and airport level", he indicates.
