In a statement the Ministry of Health clarifies that of these nine cases, seven are confirmed case contacts and two were confirmed confirmed cases.
"The confirmed cases of disease are, at the moment, stable and all are in isolation", according to the Ministry of Health, who adds that "positive cases of covid-19 have not been identified in any other municipality in the country in the last 72 hours".
In the meantime, the investigation continues to investigate flaws in the application of the protocol in the case of the Chinese diagnosed with the new coronavirus on the island of S?o Vicente.
Several experts say that it could be a false positive case of Covid-19, but the national director of Health, Artur Correia, dismisses this possibility with the quality of the tests carried out in Cape Verde.
