2nd Coronavirus Death, 2 Infant Cases In San Diego County
A second San Diego County resident has died from COVID-19, county officials said. The county also announced two new cases involving infants.

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — A second San Diego County resident has died from COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus, county officials announced Tuesday.

The person who died was in his or her late 70s and had "many" underlying conditions, according to Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county's public health officer.

Nine people have died of COVID-19 in Los Angeles County in the past 24 hours, local officials said today. That is the most for a single day in the region and brings the death toll to 21.

Dr. Barbara Ferrer, the county’s director of Public Health, also said that 421 new cases were reported since Wednesday’s update.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The coronavirus-related death toll continues to rise in San Diego County. Three more county residents have died from COVID-19, the illness caused by coronavirus, bringing the regional death toll to six.

The three additional deaths include a man in his mid-50s and a man in his early 80s, according to Dr. Wilma Wooten, the county's public health officer.

In addition, a 25-year-old San Diego man who was in self-quarantine in the Coachella Valley has died, Riverside County health officials announced Friday. The body of the pharmacy technician, who had no underlying health conditions, was discovered Wednesday at a La Quinta residence where he was staying.

LOS ANGELES - L.A. County health officials have announced five more deaths from COVID-19 and 332 new cases, bringing the county's total to 37 deaths and 2,136 cases.

Health officials say five of the six deaths reported yesterday occurred in people over the age of 60 and the sixth death was said to be a person between the age of 50 – 60 years old.

Two of the individuals, including the person between 50-60 years old, did not have any reported underlying health conditions, according to a statement from LA Public Health...

Fifteen more people have died and 663 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Los Angeles County, the LA County Department of Public Health said in a statement Sunday.
