Two San Diego residents with measles may have exposed others to the virus at an El Cajon mall last December, health officials said Wednesday.

The siblings visited the Parkway Plaza Mall on December 29 last year, the County of San Diego Health and Human Services said. The residents are two of the nine park-goers recently diagnosed with the infectious virus after visiting Disneyland parks in Southern California last December, health officials said.

Shoppers may have been exposed to measles if they were at the mall between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. that day, particularly if they were in or around GameStop, Sunglasses Hut and the mall carousel. There is no current risk for measles exposure at the locations...

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ? Nineteen people from three states who visited Disney theme parks in California last month have now fallen ill with measles, health officials said Friday.

The patients all visited Disneyland or Disney California Adventure between Dec. 15 and Dec. 20, the California Department of Public Health and the Orange County Health Agency said.

Sixteen of the cases were in California, two in Utah, and one is in Colorado, officials said.

Officials in California said that of the 16 cases in the state they have only verified that two were fully vaccinated against the disease. Some were partially vaccinated and at least two were too young to be vaccinated..

Three new measles cases related to an outbreak at Disneyland were reported Monday, bringing the total to almost two dozen.

Long Beach health officials confirmed one case of measles associated with the recent outbreak at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Two young adults from San Bernardino County have also been diagnosed with measles after visiting the theme park, San Bernardino County health officials said.

The Long Beach Health Department said in an alert that it is working with Orange and Los Angeles county officials to contact individuals who may have been exposed to the Long Beach case.

The person who contracted measles was at the following locations in Long Beach Jan. 3 between 9 and 11:30 a.m., officials said: Total Wellness Club, 6447 E. Spring St.; Stater Brothers, 6501 E. Spring St.; Bank of America, 6351 E. Spring St.; and Wells Fargo, 6402, E. Spring St. Officials are recommending that people who were at these locations during those hours check their vaccination records and look out for symptoms...

California links 26 measles cases to Disneyland outbreak

(Reuters) - California has confirmed more cases of measles in people who visited Disneyland or its adjacent California Adventure park last month, health officials said on Monday, raising the number of infected people to 26.

A total of 22 cases in California have been linked with visits to the Anaheim parks between Dec. 15 and Dec. 20, including one that arose from direct contact with an infected person, the California Department of Public Health said.

Additionally, two cases have been confirmed in Utah and one case has been confirmed in both Colorado and Washington state, the department said.

Four other possible measles cases are currently under investigation, the department said, adding that six of those who were sickened were eventually hospitalized...

La Mesa urgent care shut down due to measles cases

LA MESA (CNS) - An urgent care clinic on the Grossmont Hospital campus was closed down Wednesday after six people showed up displaying measles symptoms.

Around 40 people were in the waiting room of the Sharp-Rees Stealy Urgent Care Clinic, at 5525 Grossmont Center Drive, around 11:45 a.m. when the six entered the facility, said Frances Schnall of Sharp Healthcare. They each complained of a fever and rash, she said.

Clinic personnel determined most of the patients who were in the waiting room had been immunized for measles, which is highly contagious...

51 Infected in Measles Outbreak, 9 Cases Not Linked to Disney: Health Officials

A total of 51 measles cases have now been reported in the wake of an outbreak linked to Disney theme parks in Anaheim this December, with all but nine cases directly connected to the park, health officials said.

The total rose to 51 after Orange County confirmed that 16 people have come down with the measles there as of Friday afternoon.

The source of six of those cases was unknown, in a sign that the illness's outbreak was more widespread than previously thought, Orange County health officials said -- the sick people hadn't been to Disneyland or been in contact with confirmed cases that were associated with Disney...

Two more cases of measles were confirmed in Orange County, bringing the tally to 20, Orange County Health Care Agency officials said Wednesday.

One of the patients visited Disneyland, where the outbreak was initially detected in December. It was unclear where the other person got the highly contagious virus characterized by skin rashes, according to Nicole Stanfield of the OC Health Care Agency.

So far, a dozen patients afflicted with measles visited Disneyland, she said...
