As of June 12, 2020, Burkina Faso has recorded zero confirmed cases out of 105 samples with 8 cures and zero deaths. This brings a total of 892 confirmed cases since March 9, 2020, distributed between 323 women and 569 men with 799 cures out of a total sample of 9,088 people tested.

The Center region remains the most affected with 752 cases, followed by the Hauts-Bassins with 69 cumulative cases, the Boucle du Mouhoun 23 cases, the Sahel with 19 cases, the Central Plateau with 9 cases, the Cascades 4 cases, the Center -North 3 cases, the South Center 2 cases, and the Southwest 1 case.

According to Dr Brice Bicaba, health sector coordinator for the response to the coronavirus epidemic, "the Central region is the only active region with 40 cases. All the other homes have gone out. "

According to him, for 4 successive weeks, the cases continue to decrease. “3 weeks ago, we have 39 cumulative cases. The week that followed, we had 6 cumulative cases and this week 2 cumulative cases, ”he says.

Covid-19 in Burkina: Four new cases including one imported to Nouna on June 20, 2020

According to Dr. Brice Bicaba, the point of the disease at the global level is as follows: the American continent comes at the top of the list with more than four million confirmed cases, follows the European continent with more than two million cases , Asia also with more than two million cases and Africa in 4th position with more than 347 thousand cases.

Speaking of the most affected African countries, it is South Africa with more than 118 thousand cases, Egypt with more than 61 thousand cases, then Nigeria with more than 22 thousand cases, Ghana with more 15 thousand cases and Cameroon which comes in fifth position with almost 12 thousand cases.
