...The patient has an out of state travel history, so it is likely they got the case through travel with another state...

The number of COVID-19 cases in Arkansas has risen to 12, Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Saturday. The three new cases are healthcare workers at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and related to the original case discovered in Pine Bluff.

Hutchinson also said during Saturday’s press conference that he has authorized the Arkansas National Guard to be activated to help with logistics, call center support, transportation, EMT support and other needs.

At least three nursing homes across Arkansas have at least one positive COVID-19 cases, including at least 41 in one Little Rock nursing home.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Department of Health announced Friday that three nursing homes across Arkansas have at least one positive COVID-19 case.

The department said three nursing homes, Apple Creek Nursing and Rehab in Centerton, The Villages of General Baptist West in Pine Bluff and Briarwood Nursing Home and Rehab in Little Rock, are the ones affected during the coronavirus pandemic.....

Arkansas on Tuesday reported its first two deaths from the coronavirus outbreak.

Faulkner County's deputy coroner said a 91-year-old man died Tuesday morning at a Conway hospital from COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus. State Health Secretary Dr. Nathaniel Smith said the other death was a patient in their 50s in the central Arkansas area.
