Alabama 2009-2010 Flu Season

Welcome to ADPH's Influenza Surveillance website. Efforts to track all cases of influenza, including 2009 H1N1 influenza, are impractical because of the large number of people infected. Therefore, exact case counts are unknown. However, through enhanced influenza surveillance, ADPH is monitoring where disease activity is occurring and what strains are circulating.

As of December 2, 2009, influenza continues to circulate throughout the state. Of the positive influenza specimens submitted to the state laboratory in the last three weeks, all specimens were the 2009 H1N1 strain except one type B. View Influenza Surveillance Map. Hover over counties to view subtypes identified.
