One new death; total 53 (ADPH is aware of 53 influenza-associated deaths that have occurred in Alabama since July 1, 2009; 52 of which have laboratory confirmation as of May 27, 2010)

As of May 27, 2010, of the specimens submitted to the state laboratory in the last three weeks, none tested positive for influenza.
