A/H1N1 Fatalities in India by date 2010

Ronan Kelly

Retired 2020
Fatalities grouped by week by sort date (earliest available of these four options onset/hospitalization/death/report). There appears to be three distinct peaks, but the story is a little more complex. The first peak was mainly due to fatalities in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, with small contributions from Gujarat and Delhi. The second peak was mostly fatalities from Gujarat, Rajasthan and Delhi, with Maharashtra contributing also. The current third peak began with Kerala, then Maharashtra took over as the major contributor, then Delhi and Karnataka, now increasing numbers of fatalities are coming from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. These eight states account for almost 90% of India's confirmed fatal cases. This graph will automatically update as I add data to the database at

Since our dabble database will soon be no more, I'm reformatting some of the information so that it will still be available.
