GUADALAJARA, JALISCO (31/Dec/2010) .- La Secretar?a de Salud Jalisco (SSJ) has recorded 39 clenbuterol poisoning reported in the State, the latter will be presented in October.
Throughout last year, the agency reported 17 people affected by eating meat containing the anabolic, so it was expected that this year the downward trend continue. But it was not.
The Director of Health Regulation of the SSJ, Juan Carlos Olivares Galvez, indicating that the increase was somewhat expected, because this year they changed the municipal administrations and therefore the managers of the trails.
Suspecting that the change could disrupt the continuity of actions in favor of banning the use of clenbuterol, the official and his team met with mayors, councilmen charged with the commission that has to do with trails, facilities managers themselves killing and charged with local farming associations and the legislature, in order to speak to the concerns of using the banned substance.
However, the first poisoning occurred just begun the year: one on 4 February, a resident of Guadalajara, and eight on 11 February in Lagos de Moreno.

And municipalities are asked to no longer grant licenses for the sale of meat and offal in the street.
For a couple of years, the SJS began with the delivery of letters of intent to butchers, to comply with the agency by not selling products contaminated with clenbuterol. Galvez Olivares said to collaborate with the SSJ, State Livestock Union sent an official to all branches of the state, which are about 60, which requests that do not use clenbuterol, otherwise they would lose their membership.
