    Accordingly, in the afternoon of 11/11, Kon Tum Disease Control Center in Kon Tum City confirmed a case of death due to influenza A / H1N1.

    Earlier, on October 25, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom (37 years old) suffered from mild fever, fatigue, anorexia and had to visit and treat at a private clinic in the city. On the morning of November 3, Ms. Thom found it hard to breathe, so she went to the hospital and treated at Kon Tum General Hospital - Department of Active Resuscitation and Poisoning with symptoms of fatigue, liilite, slow contact, cold hands and feet.

    On 6/11, test results of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology confirmed samples patient samples positive for influenza A / H1N1. After identifying the exact disease and being actively examined and treated by doctors of Kon Tum General Hospital. However, Ms. Thom did not survive and died at 17:15 on November 8 with the diagnosis of the cause of influenza A / H1N1.

    Swine flu kills fourth person in Vietnam in 2019

    A 37-year-old Buddhist nun in Vietnam’s central highlands has died of swine flu, bringing the total number killed by the disease this year to four, authorities said on Tuesday.

    The patient initially experienced mild fever and fatigue before growing malnourished.

    She was then taken in for a private health check-up, the Kon Tum Centre for Disease Control said in a statement.

    She was admitted in the hospital in Kon Tum City on Nov. 3, for intensive treatment but died on Nov. 8, the statement said.

    Test results confirm she contracted A/H1N1 influenza.

    The hospital has since given the antiviral medication Tamiflu to 44 people who were in close contact with the patient.

    They have also been quarantined and tested for the virus.

      A 27-month-old child died from influenza A / H1N1

      A 27-month-old child living in Hoa An commune, Phu Hoa district, Phu Yen province was determined to have died from influenza A / H1N1.

      In the afternoon of 11/12, talking to the reporter, doctor Bien Ngoc Tan, Deputy Director of Phu Yen Preventive Medical Center , said that the case of morbidity and mortality was a male patient named VVMN, born in 2017.

      The patient declared that he lived in ward 5, Tuy Hoa city, but actually lived in Hoa An commune, Phu Hoa district.
