A cold spell sweeping Da Lat this week has sent hundreds of children in this Central Highlands resort city to hospital for treatment of respiratory infections, in addition to causing damage to local florists.
The Lam Dong Hospital reportedly in treating about 130 children per day suffering from pneumonia and sore throat as temperatures dropped to 7 degrees Celsius over the weekend.
Many flower farmers have had to increase lighting time in their greenhouse from four to eight hours, at an enormous increase in electricity bills.-Enditem
