Milwaukee child is state's first pediatric flu fatality of the season

A 12-year-old Milwaukee girl died on New Year's Day, becoming the state's first pediatric flu fatality for the 2014-'15 season.
Although the city Health Department would not disclose the age, gender or date of the death, information was obtained through the Milwaukee County medical examiner's office.
"We are deeply saddened to learn that a child has died of complications related to seasonal flu, and our thoughts remain with the child's family," said Health Commissioner Bevan K. Baker.
