                Wk 02, ending Jan 11

1 New Pediatric death as per MMWR/CDC reports
                W. Virginia's report doesn't give any info on deaths or hospitalizations

The number of outpatient ILI cases is up, around 2500
                ILI visits: almost 4%

Positive lab results for the week
                Type A: 154
                Type B: 2

Re: West Virginia 2013-14 Flu Season Wks 45-08: 1 New Pediatric Death, 2 Total

                  Wk 08, ending Feb 22

1 new pediatric death was reported this week by the CDC.

ILI reported by BioSense enrolled hospitals: 3.5%

There have been no positive test results for flu B since wk 52.

I think this season's trend is interesting when compared to the others.
