TAYLORSVILLE, Utah - A Taylorsville woman is fighting for her life after apparently being diagnosed with the H1N1 virus last Friday. The family of 26-year-old Danika Daniels said she is in extremely critical condition at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. Fox 13's Sandy Riesgraf has the story including an exclusive interview with the boyfriend of Danika Daniels.

Re: Taylorsville Woman Diagnosed With Swine Flu Fights to Live

I transcribed a few segments of the interview:

Reporter: ....We're told midweek last week they rushed her to the emergency room. She had flulike symptoms and a very serious headache, and two days later she was diagnosed with the swine flu. And tonight, we're told, she is fighting for her life.

David Reeves (boyfriend): They're saying there's a 50-50 chance. She may make it, may not. [....] Well, when she was coughing and experiencing headaches, and then the flu and the nausea set in, I should've recognized it. Guess I should've been harsh on her and grabbed her by the wrist and said, "Come on, let's go"....

Reporter: Now, Danika's boyfriend says she did have asthma and was a bit overweight, but other than that, he says, they didn't know of any other pre-existing health conditions that she did have. He says tonight her liver and lungs are both failing....
