Dallas Gets H1N1 Vaccine; Reports 2 More Deaths
DALLAS (CBS 11 / TXA 21) ―
Dallas County is reporting its sixth and seventh deaths from H1N1 flu.
County health officials won't reveal much information, citing medical privacy. But they do say the sixth victim was a 25-year-old woman with multiple underlying medical conditions.
The seventh victim, announced Monday afternoon, was a 35-year-old woman. Like the sixth victim, she had multiple underlying medical conditions.
Also Monday, Dallas County health officials say they have received their first shipment of the H1N1 flu vaccine.
The first doses are the mist form of the vaccine.
Health Department director Zachary Thompson says his staff will reveal information about how the vaccine will be distributed at a Monday afternoon news conference.
