Bay Area Hospital sees first seasonal flu case
Submit your news A Coos County man has died after contracting the H1N1 flu virus, medical officials said. His death was the first local fatality involving the much publicized influenza strain, though officials said the middle-aged man also had chronic respiratory problems.
Bay Area Hospital, where the man died, also saw its first case of seasonal flu a week or two ago, said Lonny Anderson, the hospital?s emergency operations planner.
