N.J. education chief says state won't push schools to give swine flu shots

New Jersey officials said today they have no plans of pushing schools to be become venues for a massive pandemic flu vaccination, but say the facilities are a natural setting for reaching young people -- the largest group at risk for contracting the H1N1 virus.

N.J. Department of Education Commissioner Lucille Davy"The schools are a very likely place to do this," said state education Commissioner Lucille Davy of the vaccinations for H1N1, commonly known as swine flu.
Davy spoke at a brief press conference held during a pandemic influenza summit for educators from around New Jersey.
Hundreds attended the event in South Brunswick, held against the backdrop of news that a presidential council believes up to half of America could become sick with the virus.
