St. Rita's begins visitor restrictions because of increased flu cases in the area

In order to protect our community members, our patients and staff, Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center began restricting patient visitation, effective Wednesday, February 12.
LIMA — Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center is limiting patient visitors due to high levels of flu activity in the community.
The restrictions took effect Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima Memorial Health System, Allen County Public Health and the Auglaize and Putnam County health departments issued a warning last Wednesday asking the public to take precautions, such as getting a flu shot, wearing a mask indoors and staying home while sick. They also asked people to seek the appropriate level of care so health care facilities are not overwhelmed.
