While no vultures in Pennsylvania have been found infected with the highly pathogenic avian influenza – also known as the bird flu and avian flu – a large number of black vultures have been found dead just south of the Pennsylvania-Maryland border.
More than a hundred black vultures have been found in the past two weeks near Conowingo Dam on the Susquehanna River in Maryland, prompting dam owner Constellation Energy to close two hiking trails...
