Source of the outbreak(s) or origin of infection - Unknown or inconclusive
Epidemiological comments The USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) and the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) are conducting a comprehensive epidemiological investigation of this event. Epidemiological summary of the event as of 23 March 2015: ? Samples were confirmed positive for wild bird lineage North American H7N3 LPAI based upon full genome sequence obtained from virus isolate. ? All surveillance testing of commercial poultry farms located within a 10km control area has been negative for influenza A virus. ? Depopulation of the infected premises will begin this week. The epidemiological investigation and response to the event are continuing. Control measures
