Bedford-Stuyvesant man, recently returned to New York from Mali, being tested for Ebola at Bellevue Hospital
The man, said to be in his 50s, returned to New York over the weekend, sources said. On Wednesday he went to Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, complaining of the flu; he was sent home, sources said. On Thursday morning he called 911, told an operator of his trip to West Africa, and was ultimately taken by ambulance to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.

A Brooklyn man who returned from West Africa recently and exhibited symptoms consistent with the Ebola virus was taken by ambulance Thursday to Bellevue Hospital for testing, law enforcement sources said.
The man, who is in his 50s and lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant, returned from Mali over the weekend, the sources said. Mali is not one of the three West African nations that are the center of the Ebola outbreak, but it has had six confirmed cases, five of which were fatal, according to the World Health Organization.
The man showed up to Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday, complaining of flu-like symptoms, but was sent home, the sources said. It was not clear if he told anyone at the hospital of his recent trip to Mali, or whether he was asked...
