just wondering.... would anyone like me to maintain our current lists in post #1 of this thread, and edit it as we get new information? or is it useful to have an archive of old lists to look through?

According to David A. Papi, drector of The Middlesex County Public Health Department, the man died at JFK Hospital in Edison on Saturday. The patient had multiple underlying medical conditions.

Here is some information on one of the Orange County deaths. I do not think this is a new report, just more details for one of the two we already have listed.
Swine Flu Death in Orange County
Goshen - Orange County Department of Health reminds the public that there is a significant amount of influenza-like illness (ILI) in the northeastern region. The Health Department is saddened to report the first associated death of an Orange County resident, a 32 year old female from Newburgh who died on June 23, 2009. Specimens were sent from the Medical Examiner?s Office and results were received in the past 24 hours.
Commissioner Hudson advises residents to continue to pay close attention to hygiene practices such as hand washing, use of hand sanitizer, cough etiquette and staying home when ill remain important to avoid contracting and spreading influenza viruses. She further advises that people with underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma and pregnancy are at higher risk for complications.
The CDC and NYS Department of Health says seasonal influenza has continued to decrease and that most ILI is now attributable to the novel H1N1 virus, commonly known as ?Swine Flu.? Most of the illness seen has been mild and treated as an out-patient.
The Orange County Department of Health continues to monitor and test hospitalized patients with acute respiratory illness and fever.

So you think this is a new one? It was reported as "first Orange Co death."
I thought it was more detail from those we recorded last week.
#140 California - Orange County, unidentified person, reported 6/25/09
#141 California - Orange County, unidentified person, reported 6/25/09
You are doing a tremendous job, and I trust your judgment regarding whether this is a new report or additional detail for number 140!
I wouldn't trust my judgement on anything LOL. But I think the press release you put up was for Orange County New York, not Orange County California. it can get very confusing. There are a lot of Orange Counties in the U.S.
