so with the Washington D.C. fatality, that makes 18 reported on 7/1

        is that a new record?

I am not sure. My notes are oriented towards weekly, not daily changes. My biggest jump was from June 12 to June 19th, but I am not sure if any single day exceeded yesterday.

Obviously I should have kept better notes.

            First death announced in Ohio.
A Butler County man with swine flu died earlier this week, marking the first death related to the H1N1 virus in Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Health said Thursday the man was in his 40s and had other health problems that may have led to his death.

I think two of the 5 in Florida are the ones I just posted.

You're right, so that still leaves four suspect cases in Florida.

                        Shiloh posted another California death.

                          thanks Jim and wotan

I was surprised to Washington #4 reappear, so I checked the WA DOH website, and sure enough they are still reporting only 3 deaths. I wonder if this is another CDC typo? I guess I'll include it until it gets corrected

                            Jim O and wotan,

I saw those on the CDC site as well. I counted the new CDC cases in Florida as the same ones that wotan just posted. After reconciling the new posts and the CDC update, I am showing a confirmed total of 184.

                            Does that match?

I have 186. I might have counted a couple twice. I'll have to recheck. It's getting difficult to keep up.
