Hospitals sometimes found themselves in competition with each other for supply reinforcements, and there were instances when departments within the same medical center raced to get their orders in first."

A likely re-run in the near future. I hope other hospitals are paying close attention so they don't end up in the same situation.
So many factors at play. Supply and demand. Economics. Manufacturers risk in today's worldwide economic crisis. Which countries, which hospitals, which populations first. How to secure equitable supplies for those areas with need/ without resources. Will this pandemic play out according to previous pandemic expectations. Or is this a beast with a new name/ new rules.
