CHIPPEWA COUNTY (WQOW) - Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) is a rare but serious condition that affects children linked to COVID-19, and the Chippewa County Department of Public Health says two children in the county have had it.
Health department officials did not say when the two children had MIS-C, or any other personal information— only that they were between the ages of 3 and 12, which is the age range associated with MIS-C.

Severe warning symptoms include trouble breathing, pain or pressure in the chest that does not go away, discolored lips or face, inability to wake up or stay awake, new confusion, or severe abdominal pain. Officials said children should receive immediate medical care if they show any of the severe symptoms.
... News 18 reached out to the Eau Claire City-County Health Department who said they have seen a few cases of MIS-C in the county but could not give exact numbers.
As for Dunn County, health officials said a few cases are being investigated, but none have been confirmed.
