The H1N1 virus is still circulating in Venezuela. Already more than 2 thousand
Venezuelans have been infected with this flu.
According to reports from the Ministry of Health, May 4
had reported 2,014 cases of H1N1 influenza in the country,
confirmed by PCR testing.
According to analysis by Jose Felix Oletta, Ana Carvajal and Saul
Pe?a, directors of the Network of Scientific Medical Societies
Venezuela, the cumulative incidence of H1N1 in Venezuela has
was of 5.64 per hundred thousand inhabitants. This rate has been higher
five states: M?rida 32.71 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants,
ranking first in confirmed cases since the beginning of this
new outbreak in 2011, Vargas 17.50, 15.78 Capital District, Miranda
