The H1N1 virus is still circulating in Venezuela. Already more than 2 thousand
Venezuelans have been infected with this flu.

According to reports from the Ministry of Health, May 4
had reported 2,014 cases of H1N1 influenza in the country,
    confirmed by PCR testing.

According to analysis by Jose Felix Oletta, Ana Carvajal and Saul
Pe?a, directors of the Network of Scientific Medical Societies
Venezuela, the cumulative incidence of H1N1 in Venezuela has
was of 5.64 per hundred thousand inhabitants. This rate has been higher
five states: M?rida 32.71 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants,
ranking first in confirmed cases since the beginning of this
new outbreak in 2011, Vargas 17.50, 15.78 Capital District, Miranda
Trujillo 11.98 and 8.35 cases per hundred thousand inhabitants.

"There is no information on how many people are
hospitalized with severe acute respiratory infection by influenza
H1N1 at present and how many in intensive care. Nor
provides an update on the number of deaths, "says
    physicians Scientific Network.

    Virological Surveillance System Respiratory Infections
Acute recorded from January 1 to May 2, 2011 reception
of 6,351 samples. Of all influenza viruses identified
86.71% were of H1N1 influenza, which, to say the scientists,
"Emphasizes the intense circulation of H1N1 virus."

Network physicians warn that "given the wide spread
of the disease and the dominant circulation of H1N1 virus, all
case with influenza-like illness should be considered suspect
for the purposes of epidemiological record. "

In other words, the confirmatory test is only justified in cases
influenza-like illness complicated or special studies
not to radiograph the progression of HIV in the country. In addition, this
is not quite right, according to doctors on the Internet,
there is now a major flaw in the provision of means of
transport (Virocult) for sampling of suspected cases
H1N1 and, in some states such as Carabobo, only taking
shows the hospital, so state that "thereby
The figures published in the website of the ministry are affected by
    significant underreporting. "
