    In 60 days, four people died of H1N1 virus in Chimborazo and Tungurahua a person. In both provinces other 26 cases of patients with the virus, who are already treated in the hospitals of the Ministry of Public Health .The case of a newborn 11 months old, who died last Wednesday in Chambo were confirmed, 20 minutes of Riobamba, was the last confirmed by the Ministry of technical Salud.Los of the Epidemiology Unit of the entity conducted extensive studies indicated that the deceased suffered from diseases and different clinical influenza, which aggravated the enfermedad.Hasta today, April 28, 2016, 23 cases in Chimborazo and Tungurahua three were reported. According to a report by the Ministry of Health, in both provinces it has followed the relevant protocols and patients infected with the virus are the priority of the health network.

    There are now eleven deaths from H1N1 in Ecuador

      At least 39 people die of influenza A(H1N1) in Ecuador

      QUITO, May 11 (Xinhua) -- The influenza A virus subtype H1N1 has claimed the lives of at least 39 people in Ecuador since April, announced Public Health Minister, Margarita Guevara, on Wednesday.
      He told local newspapers that up till now 239 cases of affected patients have been detected with the virus nationally.
      The virus' presence in Ecuador is due to the strong winter period that is sweeping the South American nation, however, there are also reports of the virus in other countries in the region such as Colombia.

        Ecuador: Death Toll from Swine Flu Rises to 60

        The influenza A virus subtype H1N1 has claimed the lives of at least 60 people in Ecuador since April.

        Three Ecuadoreans have died due to the AH1N1 influenza virus, health officials confirmed on Friday, raising the total death count to 60 people.

        According to local media reports, the Ecuadorean Ministry of Health (MSP) has confirmed a total of 527 cases of the virus, commonly known as swin flue. The new figures reveal that males comprise 53 percent and women 47 percent of the the reported cases. Health authorities also found that the virus was most common among individuals aged 41-64.

          Representing a fatality rate of 11% in terms of this virusA through an epidemiological bulletin, the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador in 2016 confirmed that 74 people have died as positive influenza (A) H1N1. The most affected age group is age 64a?os 41a with 33.5% (232), followed by 20a age group 40 years old with 20.4% (14).
