After two deaths in 2019, Agevisa alerts on cases of H1N1
Surveillance at the sentinel health units in Rond?nia registered cases of Influenza flu, where, in the capital, two people died with H1N1 type. With two weeks to go before the vaccination campaign begins, the Health Watch Agency (Agevisa) works with a task force to increase awareness of the importance of immunization against the most influential viruses and prevention measures with medication and basic care.
The virus Influenza is a respiratory virus, which in 2009 entered configured as a pandemic in Brazil. Today, already considered a seasonal virus, it is dispersed in the air and, in the State, increases the probability of infections in the rainy season, with greater circulation between the months of January and May. Influenza has two types, A and B. The virus with the highest occurrence of outbreaks and epidemics is type A, which has subtypes, where the highest frequency is the well-known H1N1.
