    The General Directorate of Epidemiology and the Naval Medical Research Detachment of the United States (NMCDR), are monitoring influenza A H1N1 in Peru in order to detect possible changes of the same gene, as reported by the General Directorate of Epidemiology of the Ministry of health.

    The meetings will take place from August 17 to September 05, reported the newsletter of the General Directorate of Epidemiology.

    The Task Force for Epidemiological Surveillance of the entity, met with representatives of the Naval Medical Research Detachment of the United States (NMRCD) stands for English to assess the actions taken on the monitoring of influenza and other viruses AH1N1 breathing.
    At that meeting, the specialist Patricia Aguilar of NMCDR, that are making a molecular surveillance of influenza virus in several countries to identify strains resistant to antiviral drugs.

Bolarte, Sector Director of Epidemiological Surveillance of the DGE, he indicated that the behavior of the Severe Acute Respiratory Infections (IRAG), shows a trend of stabilization for the fall, but reaffirmed its commitment to continue with the monitoring of them and of deaths from pneumonia for monitoring influenza.
