    According to the new newsletter from the Secretariat of Health of Paran? on the swine flu, released this Friday (21), the state has 142 cases of death by disease confirmed.

    In relation to the previous bulletin, the state has 23 new cases of death by influenza A H1N1. Moreover, the number of confirmed cases of influenza A increased from 1851 to 2480 - these figures refer to cases of patients at risk group or with some sort of complication.

    Curitiba is still leading in number of deaths, with 62. Foz do Igua?u comes next with 15, then Toledo and Maring?, with eight deaths each.

    The region of Curitiba, also the highest number of cases confirmed cases, 844, followed by the region of Curitiba, 294, Londrina, 237, and Foz do Iguacu, 211.

    Of the 2480 confirmed cases, 142 had complications and died as equivalent to 5%. Of the total of confirmed deaths, 53% were women and 47% men. With respect to age, 64% were between 20 and 49 years and 20% were between 49 and 59 years.

    The deaths occurred between 14 July and 20 August, however, required the laboratory result to be confirmed
    . Central Laboratory of the State (Lacen) reports that on Sunday (23) resets the queue awaiting examination report.

      SAO PAULO - The State Center for Health Monitoring, Rio Grande do Sul confirmed nine deaths caused by swine influenza in the state. The deaths occurred between July 21 and August 21 in the cities of San Gabriel, Santa Maria, Cachoeira do Sul, Rio Grande, Gramado, Santa Rosa, Niteroi, and Caxias do Sul Passo Fundo. All the victims were adults and one of them was pregnant. Now, Rio Grande do Sul sum 93 killed by influenza A.

      RS confirmed nine deaths because of the new flu

      The government says the deaths occurred between July 21 to August 21.

      Paran?

      The Department of Health of Santa Catarina confirmed this Friday, the 11th death caused by new flu. The victim is a man of 49 years who lived in South Lind?ia (SC).

        Sao Paulo has 179 killed by the new flu, says official assessment

        SAO PAULO - The Health Secretariat of Sao Paulo confirmed on Friday killed over 45 people for flu, bringing the number of deaths in the state to 179.           Hours after release bulletin, the Department of Health Dourados recorded another death in the University Hospital of the city on suspicion of swine flu. A woman of 50 years, Amambai, had been hospitalized since November 13. Now we are five dead in just three days in HU-MS.

          Besides this woman, another patient, a man of 45 years, not living in Dourados, was Navira?, was taken for medical treatment in the city and died yesterday. This patient was not collected material for examination.

            The Departments of Health of Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro issued new balance with the number of deaths caused by swine flu in the States. According to the data, in Sao Paulo were confirmed 45 more deaths, while in Rio, four more deaths were recorded. With this brings to 464 the number of fatal victims of swine influenza in Brazil.

                SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The H1N1 bird flu has killed at least 487 deaths in the country, according to data from state departments of Health

                Friday, Sao Paulo updated the data and sum up 179 deaths. The state is the worst affected in the country.

                            Ribeir?o Preto confirms third death from swine flu

                            SAO PAULO - The Health Secretariat of Ribeir?o Preto, 330 kilometers from the state capital, confirmed the third death from bird flu in the new municipality. The victim is a man of 23 years who was hospitalized for a month because of illness.                                 According to Roberto Oliveira, an epidemiologist at the Center for Epidemiological Surveillance of the municipality, death due to infection by the influenza A (H1N1) was confirmed by examination of the Adolfo Lutz (S?o Paulo), sent Monday to Dourados.

                                The death of Douradense is second from the swine flu confirmed in Mato Grosso do Sul's first confirmed victim of the disease was a public servant Ana Paula Elias Guinda, 24, who lives in Tr?s Lagoas. She presented the first symptoms on July 20, was hospitalized and died on 3rd of this month. The confirmation took place on the 18th.
