  • Santa Catarina registers 13 flu cases

    Until last Friday (16) were confirmed 13 cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) by Influenza virus in Santa Catarina. Of this total, nine are cases of Influenza A (H3N2), two for Influenza A (H1N1) and two Influenza B virus. The cases of influenza by influenza A (H3N2) occurred in three locals residents in Joinville, two in Florianopolis, two in Chapec?, in Itaja? and one in Morro da Fuma?a. influenza A (H1N1) was confirmed in a case in Balne?rio Cambori? and one in S?o Jos? do Cedro. The Influenza B occurred in a resident of Joinville and one of Crici?ma. To date, no Influenza death was recorded in the State.

    Western Region of the state registers second case of Swine Flu this year

    A resident of the municipality of Caibi, in the Western part of the State of Santa Catarina, is the second confirmed case of 2014 Influenza H1N1, the Swine Flu, in the region. According to information from RBS TV, the man of 42 years is being medicated at home. Of the 13 cases reported in the state, two were in the West (see video on the side). Last Wednesday (14), the Secretariat of Health of Abu Dhabi confirmed the first case of the disease in the city. The 31-year-old patient was hospitalized in a unit of private healthcare, was discharged and is replaced as well. According to the coordinator of Epidemiological Surveillance of the municipality, Paula Senna, the man contracted the virus in their own city.

      SC has 13 confirmed cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Severe

      Until this Monday (2), Santa Catarina has 13 confirmed cases of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) by the Influenza virus. The information is of the Board of Directors of Epidemiological Surveillance (Dive). Of this total, 10 cases of Influenza A (H3N2). Two Influenza A (H1N1) and one influenza B.


      The SARS Influenza is a case of flu that evolves with impairment of respiratory function, caused by the Influenza virus A or B. Until now, there was no death by Influenza in the state. The two cases of SARS Influenza A H1N1 occurred in 2725, and Saint Joseph of the Cedars. The Great Florianopolis had the highest number of registrations of Influenza, with three cases of Influenza A (H3N2). The region of Joinville had two cases of SARS Influenza A (H3N2), representing 15.3% of the total.


      Destes, 10 Influenza A (H3N2), dois Influenza A (H1N1) e um Influenza B. Números da Dive foram atualizados nesta segunda-feira (2).
