    From the Cardiovascular Institute of Buenos Aires today inisist the need for the application of the drug in this risk group by the end of the month.

    Nacinovich added that within risk groups "are also over 65 years and those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, kidney problems, pregnant at any time even during pregnancy and the postpartum period and the obese."

    He said that among people with a history of cardiovascular problems flu "causes changes or deterioration of the underlying disease and influenza season increases the incidence of hospitalizations for heart failure and greater incidence of coronary heart disease including myocardial infarction" .

    He stressed that in addition to influenza vaccination is important for people in risk groups have adequate periodic medical monitoring. "

    Currently there are two types of flu vaccines available, containing only monovalent pandemic H1N1 strain, and trivalent which also protects against seasonal influenza.

    This vaccine consists of three components: influenza virus type B and two types of influenza A virus: influenza A/H3N2 and A/H1N1 pandemic.
