-- Epidemiological comments
Health measures applied around the first outbreak and in its surveillance zone were lifted. No new infected animals have been reported since 24 June. Animals are sent regularly to slaughter after clinical inspection. Health measures are maintained in the second outbreak and around. No new health event has been reported.
Laboratory: Virus isolation was carried out on Madin-Darby canine cells (MDCK). The RNA extraction was performed as well as the amplification of the fragments corresponding to segment 4 (HA), segment 5 (NP), segment 8 (NS) and the fraction of segment 7 encoding M1.
The percentage identity of the sequences obtained from two reference isolates A/California/04/2009(H1N1) and A/swine/Alberta/OTH-33-8/2009(H1N1) are higher than 99.99%.
Once the genome sequencing completed, the sequences will be submitted to the GenBank database.
