The Regional Health Ayacucho announced that so far this year reported 29,177 cases of acute respiratory infections, better known as IRAs, in all health facilities in the region.
The victims are children under five who have been affected by low temperatures recorded in the Andean highlands of Ayacucho.
After evaluation of the statistical results, the health sector make the supply of medicines, antibiotics, syrups and pills that should be used for the treatment of this disease. Also informed the attention of 194 children with pneumonia.
It should be noted that the Regional Health Department of Ayacucho, several weeks ago declared a "green alert" to all health facilities.
