DOHA: The Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has 18 rooms to isolate confirmed cases of coronavirus, a senior HMC official has said. Though no fresh cases have been reported in Qatar, the country has stepped up measures to deal with any possible outbreak, after several confirmed cases were reported from the neighbouring Saudi Arabia. Dr Yousuf Al Muslamani said HMC was prepared to meet any emergency situations.
He, however, said the spread of coronavirus was still limited and had not yet reached the stage of an epidemic, as pointed out by the World Health Organisation. He said all measures had been taken to quickly and properly deal with any suspected case of coronavirus in the country. The Peninsula"
