Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) Emergency Committee Meeting
The Seventh Meeting of the International Health Regulations (IHR) (2005) Emergency Committee on Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) will be held starting Thursday, 25 September 2014.
The meeting will request affected countries to provide their views and updates, and seek the advice of Committee members and advisors on recent developments and appropriate recommendations.
The consultations will be held by electronic means and are expected to close next week.
WHO expects to release the conclusions of the seventh Emergency Committee to the media in a statement after closure of the meeting. (If there are any changes to this estimated time or the arrangements, we will notify journalists via an update to this WHO Media Advisory distributed through the WHO global media list.).
At the last Emergency Committee meeting, held on 17 June 2014, the Committee members agreed to reconvene in September to review latest information and developments on MERS-CoV.
