Alert in Oaxaca outbreak of A H1N1

Oaxaca, Mexico (December 31, 2011) .- Given the possible outbreak of H1N1 cases in the state, staff from the Mexican Social Security Institute issued an alert among the staff, after 10 people underwent the study and were sent to Mexico.
School staff reported that it issued an alert due to including possible outbreak of H1N1 influenza virus among the staff of this institution, which includes physicians, nurses and administrative personnel and supplies.
One of the doctors reported unofficially that the outbreak was detected since last December 22 and although they were awaiting confirmation whether it was seasonal flu or H1N1, there had been more cases.
According to the staff report, the samples were taken at ten elements of high school, although doctors do not rule out the symptoms is a high probability that the case of this virus.

So far no official information has been issued of the matter, however the patients remain under observation and recommended staff be alert and prevent contagion.
For its part, the Ministry of Health in Oaxaca reported that only three cases are reported and no deaths.
Secretary of Health Services Oaxaca (SSO), Germain Tenorio Vasconcelos, said through a statement that this year the number of AH1N1 cases decreased by 94 percent compared to those recorded in 2010, which documented 48 patients with the virus and six deaths.
