        ◦Health calls remain vigilant

Could A H1N1 "surprise" in April

Despite having been successful in reducing human influenza, which is largely represented by a number of infected "infinitely less" than the rate last year, you can not drop our guard, because the virus can continue giving "surprises", as it has done over nearly a year of the discovery.

So said Secretary of Health in Jalisco, Alfonso Petersen Farah, in an interview with this media, which said that one of these surprises that influenza has given the world, is that even if it is an acute respiratory infection, which manifest mainly in cold season, began to be released at the height of heat.

Note that the first human case of influenza was diagnosed in April 2009, only to be a "wave" in the month of June and finally an increase in the spread between late September and early October.

"Not in April or in September or October, in a state of Jalisco, and in the Central West of the Republic, we are cold, and yet we had significant increase in disease."

Petersen Farah notes that the medical authorities were expecting the arrival of winter with the increase in the number of cases is given in a relevant way, and more with the experience that was experienced in countries like Chile and Argentina, where he had a serious increase in cases and deaths on arrival of the winter season. In short, it heralded a disheartening scenario also for Mexico.

Therefore, and because the virus is considered relatively new, is not known if the Heat next season could be presented another wave of cases, as happened in 2009.

"Our scenario was different, but in no way should be right or reason to drop our guard, on the contrary, we must continue with the measures, go to the vaccination of 30 million vaccines nationwide by the end of April."
