    46 % increases cases of influenza in one week

    CITY OF M?XICO. - In the last week, the record of cases of influenza went on from 2 thousand 818 contagions confirmed to 4 thousand 121, which is equivalent to an increase of 46.2 per cent, and from 81 to 149 deceases, the majority of them for the type A H1N1, it points out the last epidemiologic report of the Secretary of Health. From the epidemiologic week 20 4 thousand 121 positive cases have been confirmed to influenza: thousand 818 of AH3N2, thousand 519 of AH1N1, 605 of B and 179 of influenza A.Esto means an increase of 59.9 per cent in the number of cases with regard to the same period of the previous year, which registers an increase in the number of cases during the period of cold. The entities with major proportion of confirmed cases are the Mexico City, Jalisco Been of Mexico, New Le?n and Tlaxcala, which as a whole add 45.45 per cent of the whole. During the period of influenza, the states with major number of deaths are Sinaloa, Jalisco, Mexico, Sonorous and Nobleman, that as a whole they add 51 per cent of the deaths for influenza. Of the whole, 111 were for AH1N1, 21 of AH3N2, 10 of influenza type B and 7 of the type A.

    MEXICO CITY, March 2 (Reuters) - Mexico has seen a sharp jump in cases of the virus H1N1, popularly known as swine flu, killing 68 people so far this flu season, according to health ministry data.
    The overall number of flu cases and deaths has also risen, but the H1N1 statistics are striking. The Mexican government has detected 945 cases of H1N1 this season, compared with just four cases and no deaths last season.
    But the Mexican government emphasized schools should not shutter their doors due to the flu.
    "We are not facing an epidemic that would justify closing schools," Education Minister Aurelio Nuno said at a news conference this week.

    Influenza kills 98 in 5 months

    From October until the date 98 deceases have registered in Mexico for influenza, of which 68 correspond to the vine-stock A H1N1, it brought the Secretary of Health (Ssa).

Till now, the vine-stock A H3N2 keeps on prevailing, although the proportion of cases of A H1N1 is much bigger than that of the past period.

    Influenza, origin of 79 deaths

    CITY OF M?XICO. - In this winter period has confirmed to itself that almost two thousand Mexicans have become infected of influenza and 79 have died.
