I don't know anything about the source except that it claims to be nonpartisan and in favour of a free press in Cuba. The report, with my translation:
El poblado de Colón, en la provincia de Matanzas, se encuentra actualmente en cuarentena debido al creciente número de enfermos por el virus H1N1.
The village of Colón, in Matanzas province, is in effective quarantine because of the growing number of H1N1 cases.
Según fuentes confiables, tres personas han fallecido, una de las cuales era una embarazada de 17 años. Un iglesia evangélica establecida en el lugar, ha llamado a orar por varias embarazadas que se encuentran también en estado crítico. Posteriormente, este reportero pudo conocer que una de ellas había fallecido, así como un hombre de unos cuarenta años.
According to reliable sources, three persons have died, one of them a pregnant 17-year-old. An evangelical church in the village has called for prayers for various pregnant women who are in critical condition. Late, this reporter learned that one of them had died, as well as a man in his 40s.
Aunque hasta ahora las autoridades sanitarias no se han pronunciado sobre estas muertes, la presencia de decenas de médicos y equipos llevados desde el IPK (Instituto de Medicina Tropical), institución encargada de examinar a los contagiados por el virus, así como las alertas recibidas por familiares de quienes viven en Colón, confirman la situación de la región.
Even though the health authorities haven't reported these cases, the presence of tens of doctors and teams from the Institute of Tropical Medicine (charged with examining H1N1 cases), as well as alerts received by friends of Colón residents, confirm the situation in the region.
Es necesario señalar que cerca de este poblado se encuentran los albergues de miles de estudiantes latinoamericanos, y fue precisamente allí donde se detectaron los primeros casos de enfermos en Cuba, los cuales fueron tres estudiantes mexicanos.
