People infected with coronavirus in the Dominican Republic amount to 6,416, according to bulletin # 40 issued by the Ministry of Public Health this Tuesday, April 28, which reports 123 new positive cases.

The Dominican Republic confirmed the first case of coronavirus on March 1, an Italian tourist, while on the 16th of that same month, the first death due to the disease was announced, a 47-year-old Dominican woman with HIV and a tuberculosis patient who had arrived from Spain.
