The Livestock Department of the State of Qatar is free of bird flu, based on laboratory testing of blood samples of birds that have been collected from different regions of the country, during the month of March.

أكدت إدارة الثروة الحيوانية خلو دولة قطر من مرض انفلونزا الطيور، وذلك بناء على الفحص المعملي لعينات دم الطيور التي تم جمعها من مناطق مختلفة من البلاد، خلال شهر مارس الماضي.
وحسب تقرير لإدارة الثروة الحيوانية فإنه تم جمع 2633 عينة من دم الصقور والدجاج والحمام وطيور الزينة من مراكز الرصد وهي مركز الدوحة البيطري ، ومركز الرصد بالريان، ومركز الرصد بالشحانية ، ومركز الرصد بمنطقة الخور ، والشركة العربية القطرية للدواجن ، والمزارع المجاورة ، ومركز الرصد بمطار الدوحة الدولي ، ومركز الترصد بميناء الدوحة البحري ، ومركز أبو سمرة الحدودي البري ، وقد جاءت النتائج سلبية لتؤكد خلو قطر من انفلونزا الطيور.
من ناحية أخرى، وافقت إدارة الثروة الحيوانية على طلب مؤسسة "قطر للبترول" على عقد دورة تدريبية لموظفيها حول كيفية التعامل مع أي طيور نافقة.
وقال الدكتور قاسم ناصر القحطاني مدير إدارة الثروة الحيوانية إنه سيتم عقد الدورة أواخر شهر مايو القادم على مدى يومين لتدريب المشاركين على كيفية التعامل مع الطيور النافقة، فضلاً عن الأدوات ووسائل الحماية الشخصية اللازمة لمن يتعامل مع هذه الطيور.
جدير بالذكر إن دولة قطر كانت من أوائل الدول التي وضعت خطة شاملة للاستعداد والترصد لمرض انفلونزا الطيور شديد الإمراضية "H5N1" منذ أكتوبر 2005م، وتم أخذ موافقة خليجية ودولية على هذه الخطة، حيث وافقت عليها المنظمة العالمية لصحة الحيوان "OIE" ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة "الفاو".
كما قامت إدارة الثروة الحيوانية منذ تنفيذ الخطة بإجراء "4" اختبارات محاكاة وهمية افتراضية لوجود إصابة بمرض انفلونزا الطيور، تم خلالها الوقوف على جاهزية لجنة الطواريء بالوزارة للاستعداد لمكافحة المرض في حال حدوثه، كما تتابع الإدارة يومياً من خلال نقاط الترصد المختلفة وعددها "33" نقطة ترصد بأنحاء البلاد سواء على الأرض واليابسة أو بالشواطيء والجزر، أي طير مريض أو نافق ويتم إعداد تقرير يومي عن حالة الترصد للمرض وكذلك تقرير شهري يتم رفعه للمسؤولين.
وبالنسبة للتجهيزات البشرية والفنية لتنفيذ خطة الترصد لمرض انفلونزا الطيور، توجد "3" سيارات كعيادات متحركة للطوارئ، مجهزة على أعلى مستوى لأخذ العينات والتعامل معها في مواقعها مباشرة، كما توجد خمس فرق جاهزة من الأطباء والمختصين ضمن فرقة الطوارئ المتكاملة القائمة بتنفيذ خطة الاستعداد والترصد لمواجهة مرض انفلونزا الطيور.
