Lebanon denies rumors of new COVID-19 wave: media

BEIRUT, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese Health Ministry on Monday denied rumors about a new wave of COVID-19 spreading in Lebanon, the National News Agency reported.
The ministry said that although COVID-19 still appears in Lebanon, as in other countries, it is no longer a "health emergency of international concern."
The ministry also noted that the country has recently witnessed an increase in cases amid growth in visitor arrivals during the tourist season, adding the reported cases were mostly mild cases that did not require hospitalization.
